The Project: SS304 Slender Shaft with Milled Flat and Threaded End

This custom component is a long, thin shaft machined from solid SS304 stainless steel bar stock. One end features a precision-milled flat section for tool engagement and torque transfer, while the opposite end is threaded for assembly connection. The main body is a fine-diameter cylindrical shaft running the full length.

The primary challenge? Maintaining strict diameter consistency and straightness along the entire slender profile while meeting the customer’s demanding surface finish requirements.
